TONIGHT IS THE NIGHT MY BEAUTIFUL BETTIES!

I’m sponsoring a night of weird in the best possible way.

The Weird Pals are taking over Appleton Beer Factory with a full Weird Al tribute, and honestly… what better excuse to get out, get loud, and have some fun?

Good music. Cold beer. Weird energy.

Exactly how a Saturday should feel.

Come hang out, support live music, and maybe wear the thing you’ve been waiting for an excuse to wear.

This feels like the occasion.

Too many dresses.
Not enough rack space.
Your gain.

Dresses are on sale now — come find one (or three) before they’re gone.

Somewhere along the way, we got this idea that being stylish means constantly showing people something new.

A new outfit. A new trend. A new purchase.

I disagree.
I think style is finding what you love and actually wearing it.

Not saving it. Not retiring it because someone saw it last week.

Not convincing yourself you need something different just for the sake of being different.

If an outfit makes you feel good, wear it again.

And again.

And if people notice? Good. That means you’re memorable.

06/10/2026

Somewhere along the way, we were told we had to choose.

Comfort or style.

As if feeling good in your clothes somehow makes them less interesting. I don’t buy it.

Comfort isn’t giving up. Comfort isn’t boring. Comfort isn’t invisible. It’s knowing what works for you. It’s wearing clothes that let you move through your day without constantly adjusting, tugging, or thinking about them.

And if the clothes also make you feel like yourself? Even better.

You don’t have to suffer for a great outfit.

Comfort can still be style.

Why do we act like running errands doesn’t count? Like somehow, the grocery store, the post office, coffee runs, and everyday life aren’t worth getting dressed for.

But that’s where most of life actually happens.
Not the special events.
Not on vacation.
On a random Tuesday when you need dog food and a gallon of milk.

So wear the over the top jacket.
Wear the fun shoes.
Wear the thing that makes you feel a little more like yourself.

If it makes your day better, that’s reason enough.

Well look who’s back on Mondays.

From January through May, Beatnik Betty’s takes some time to hibernate, thrift, create, dream up new things and generally recharge these fabulous batteries.

But June is here sweetheart. Which means we’re back to our summer schedule and OPEN 6 DAYS A WEEK through December.

So if you’ve ever driven by on a Monday and muttered, “Of course they’re closed…” today is your day.

Come browse the racks. Try on something unexpected. Find that piece you didn’t know you needed.

You know the outfit that is just sitting there because you keep talking yourself out of it?

The one that feels a little too bold. A little too noticeable. A little too much.

Wear it anyway.

Because most of the time, the hesitation isn’t about the clothes. It’s about being seen. And honestly? Nobody is thinking about it as much as you are.

So wear the outfit (or the lipstick). Go to the thing. Take up the space.

You don’t need to feel 100% confident at first. Sometimes confidence comes after you stop talking yourself out of it.

05/22/2026

Somewhere along the way, a lot of women learned how to make themselves smaller.

Smaller opinions. Smaller presence. Smaller outfits. Smaller personalities.

Less noticeable. Less loud. Less “too much.”

But maybe you were never too much. Maybe you just stopped shrinking yourself to make other people comfortable. I’m here to remind you that there is nothing wrong with being bold. Or expressive. Or visible.

Wear the outfit. Take up the space. Be noticeable. That’s enough.

Being overdressed is not a thing.

Most of the time, it just means you made more of an effort than someone else did. And somehow, we’ve been taught to feel awkward about that.

Tone it down. Dress more casual. Act like caring how you look is embarrassing.

But if getting dressed makes your day go better…. Why wouldn’t you?

Why save the outfit? Why wait for the occasion? Why make yourself smaller just to match the room?

Wear the sequins that sparkle too much. Wear the boots that are a little over top. Wear the lipstick that is too red.

My grandparents were farmers and Verna had a little grocery store out of her house close-ish to the farm. This grocery store also had a tiny bar that I remember as a kid visiting with mainly my grandfather. We didn’t visit much, but going to Vera’s was always the highlight as a kid.
Anyway, stop down and grab a sticker!
