Every year, I buy Halloween candy with the absolute best intentions.
It's for the trick-or-treaters.
Every single piece.
I'm not going to touch it.
And then I walk past the candy bowl.
Well, one Reese's isn't going to hurt anything.
And maybe a Kit Kat.
And technically, I should probably make sure the Snickers are fresh, too.
𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗜𝗦 𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝗦𝗡𝗔𝗖𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚. 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗜𝗦 𝗤𝗨𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗧𝗬 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗧𝗥𝗢𝗟.
I refuse to hand out candy that hasn't been thoroughly inspected by a responsible adult.
It's called being a good neighbor.
And if I have to buy another bag before Halloween night, well, that's just the cost of running a professional operation.
My husband calls it eating all the Halloween candy.
I call it protecting the community.
𝗔𝗻𝘆𝘄𝗮𝘆, 𝗜'𝗺 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝘄𝗲'𝗿𝗲 𝗿𝘂𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆.
And just so we're clear, Reese's are absolutely a quality-control priority.
