Here we are at the end of August, where has summer gone? I'm busy with more quilts. I'm cutting fabric and decided it was time to change the blade on my rotary cutter. It was getting a little difficult to push thru 4 layers. Just enjoy all your sewing projects, they will be loved.

So apparently people are getting CLONED NOT HACKED on Fb. Changing your password does NOTHING. Heads Up. Almost every account is being cloned. One of your pictures and your name are used to create a "new" Facebook Account. (They don't need your password in order to do this). They want your friends to add them to their accounts. Your friends may think that it's you and accept your request. From that point on they can write what they want under your name.
I have NO plans to open a new account!
PLEASE DO NOT ACCEPT A NEW ‘FRIEND REQUEST’ FROM ME.
If you are seeing this, we are already friends.

The April retreat was a success. I believe it will continue to satisfy the attendees need for quilting togetherness. This stormy sea was returned to the maker and was to their liking.

So now May is here and my 2nd knee surgery is behind me. I am still recovering so not quilting much right now. But I wanted to thank everyone for the well wishes I have received. I will be slowly getting back into the quilting room as it brightens my day.

Hooray! My knee surgery went well and recovery is 100% of course that is until knee # 2 gets done. I have been back at the machine with a lot less pain.
This quilt has a lot of history in it for a Virginia family. Made for a gentleman who graduated almost 70 years ago when the school was Virginia Polytechnic Institute and his son and other family members have graduated from Virginia Tech after the name changed.
Thanks for all the well wishes and encouragement throughout the winter. Spring is on its way.

Hello Quilters!
The 2023 year has been wonderful, filled with great retreats and special company. The quilts that have crossed my machine were as varied as I could imagine. There were strip quilts, 9patch, log cabins, t-shirt quilts, kaleidoscopes, stormy seas, row robins, gypsy wife, double wedding ring and more. Many were multi-year projects that were completed with great relief.
As 2023 winds down, I will be taking some time off for knee surgery. I look forward to the new year standing tall with a new, stronger knee. I should then be enjoying more quilting in 2024.

March 2023 Yes we are welcoming spring. Many bright and beautiful quilts heading out to be loved. The world is a brighter place full of sunshine for some, snow for others (haha). Keep your creativity going. I am booked thru the next 2 months but May has its share of gift oppurtunities, Mothers day, and graduations to name a few.
