The Beginning of our Story
Hey FA fans! My name is Erin and welcome to Five Arrows. Our story started in 2014, when my husband Jared and I came up with the idea to open a clothing boutique in one of our families buildings. We wanted to fill a void and have a place to go and find one of a kind products, at great prices, and something for the entire family. It was a long process and definitely a labor of love to get the store up and running, all while taking care of three little ones and working full-time as an in-home daycare provider.
The hardest part was coming up with a name but we finally settled on "Five" after the number of people in our family and "Arrows" after the true meaning of it. “An arrow can only be shot by pulling it backward. So when life is dragging you back with difficulties, it means that it's going to launch you into something great. So just focus, and keep aiming.” We were very hesitant that the store wouldn't work, there were so many questions and concerns but eventually we just had to "shoot the arrow" into the unknown and go for it. We finally opened our brick & mortar in Beaver City, Ne in July of 2015.
It has truly been the best experience and we feel like we filled a void in the community and surrounding areas. It has been such a joy and pleasure to meet new people and to help them feel confident in their appearance. It has been one wild ride and we can't wait to see where this adventure takes us and the store.
In 2017, we had another little one and have received many questions about changing our name. Instead of "Five" being after the number of family members, it now represents our "Five" children, our four beautiful blessings here on Earth and our sweet angel baby in Heaven. In 2009, Jared and I experienced the horrible pain and loss at 13 weeks of pregnancy and we truly feel that our angel baby helped us take the leap in opening Five Arrows and continues to watch over and guide our family.
