I hate that I have to say this, but I REALLY don't respond well to AI. I have gotten about 5 AI generated images or spec sheets in the last week or so from prospective clients, and I'm not happy about it.

I am not taking alterations at this time, because of contracted work. My apologies! Spring and summer is when I have a slow period and can take alterations, generally speaking.

Have I mentioned this tip? Wrap your foam in slick plastic in order to easily get it into a 'grabby" cushion cover. For me that's usually marine vinyl. You can pull it out after, or leave it in.

A first for me, grading a garment from 3T to adult XL. Crazy. Also, got the ruffler out for a small job and it did not disappoint, it loosened my needle at least three times (but I caught it before it fell out). I have a love hate relationship with that thing.

I don't use it. I don't use it to write for me, draw for me or do my work.

If you're looking at my posts about digital patterns, please be aware that I have spent HOURS getting those digitized and graded from paper patterns (I have 20 yrs worth of patterns in my drawer from custom clients). I agonize over instructions, trying to get them brief but understandable. Those images on an avatar are the only way for me to represent what the pattern makes, they are generated from the flat pattern pieces that I have drafted in the 2D area in the pattern software. I have to tell the computer software how those pieces are assembled, what has ease, what direction it faces and what type of fabric it is. It is not automatic.

Now, CLO3d does have some AI features which I ignore, because I have 30 years of experience doing this and don't need AI mistakes in my patterns.

Can I show you photographs of those items which I have assembled in the past 20 years? Not usually, because often I don't get photos from customers in their stuff. Plus then I need permission to show them. I do have some photos in my Insta feeds, if you care to dig. If you have any questions about my process, please ask me...don't assume.

I am using some hyperlinks in my digital pattern instructions...at this time, using some standard go-tos like Threads magazine or Wiki How, or other people who I think have decent tutorials. I use pins to create the folder on my ironing table.
