On Memorial Day afternoon, we proudly broke ground on the newest and most unique addition: On Angels Wings. 🇺🇸

While Memorial Day honors those who made the ultimate sacrifice, this monument will also serve as a powerful reminder to keep our active service members in our thoughts and prayers each day.
Positioned along the east side of Soldiers Walk, On Angels Wings will stand in balance with the “Angel of Mercy” — symbolizing both remembrance and protection. Featuring a striking 17-foot stainless steel guardian angel rising above a 15-foot base, the monument is designed to reflect strength, guidance, and unwavering support for those who serve.

This meaningful addition is a gift from the Ronald and Joyce Wanek Foundation and the Wanek Family to the City of Arcadia.
Designed by artist Ben Golden and constructed by Wieser Brothers General Contractor, this tribute is a testament to the courage, sacrifice, and enduring spirit of our military.

Stay tuned as this powerful new symbol takes shape. ✨

The newest monument will be unveiled this Thursday evening during Ashley for the Arts. The statue will honor Ruby Bradley, the Army Nurse Corps officer, one of the most decorated women in U.S. military history. This Independence Day, we celebrate the courage and sacrifice that birthed our nation. At Soldiers Walk Memorial Park, every memorial tells the story of freedom defended—from the Revolutionary War patriots who first fought for liberty to today's heroes who continue that sacred mission.

As fireworks light up the sky tonight, we remember that our freedom was never free. It was earned by the brave and protected by the bold.

Happy 4th of July!

Five beaches, 7,000 naval vessels, 23,400 paratroopers, 160,000 total allied troops.

One mission: the largest amphibious assault in history.

81 years ago today, the world watched as courage met chaos on the beaches of Normandy. D-Day marked a turning point in history, a moment where countless souls gave everything for the hope of freedom. The weight of those sacrifices is something we’ll never fully comprehend, but we will always remember.

To the heroes who stormed those shores, and to those who never returned, we owe a debt that can never be repaid. Today, we honor your bravery, your legacy, and the price of peace.
