Do you have basic sewing skills? Are you ready to make your first quilted bag? Sign up for our Quilter’s Big Tote class on June 25!

Students will receive step-by-step instruction from seasoned quilting instructor, Sheryl Rathge. You will choose your own colorway of three different fabrics to construct a stylish signature multi-purpose bag.

This is the perfect class for a skilled beginner sewer. Must be comfortable with sewing 1/4″ seams, measuring and cutting fabric, and following instructions.

Class Fee: $40/$35 Sauder Village Member. (Registered students receive a 10% discount on all project supplies purchased at the Sauder Village Quilt Shop.)

Based in Tecumseh, MI, The Quilt Patch houses over 7,000 bolts of 100% cotton quilting fabric, 200+ samples, oodles upon oodles of kits, and a classroom with a capacity of thirty sewing machines. The Quilt Patch is an authorized Bernina and Bernette Sewing Machine Dealer and has an inhouse Service Technician.

Through this 90-minute program, you’ll hear about Debbie’s life as a needlework and quilting enthusiast. You’ll be inspired by her large collection of needlework samplers, needle necessities and many of her own favorite applique and pieced quilts. She’ll share some of her own unique designs and have some door prizes for participants.
