Congratulations we couldn’t resist making our own. Here’s why that rock-star baby is going to need 🎧 🎧

👂🏽A developing baby in utero is able to hear by 20 weeks of pregnancy. At this stage the sounds heard are mostly internal sounds such as mommy’s breathing & heartbeat 💗 💗

👂🏽By 23 weeks of pregnancy a baby is able to hear sounds from the outside world. As the pregnancy continues the baby will learn to recognize familiar voices and hear a fuller spectrum of sounds.

👂🏽 Amniotic fluid plus all the layers of the mother’s body acts as a natural sound barrier for babies in utero. However, loud sounds during pregnancy can still startle babies and have the potential to cause hearing damage in developing babies.

If you are pregnant a general rule is to follow the same safety guidelines for children and adults. Spend time in no more than 8 hrs of continuous noise of over 85 dB or no more than 2 hours for noises above 100 dB. Head over to www.wiselittleears.com to learn more.
