I'm delighted to announce that I'll be selling my hand-dyed clothing at the Rising Star Quilters Spring Fair. When a plant's name contains the word 'tinctoria', that's a dead giveaway that it was used to color something, somewhere.

Some really nice browns here! Coffee and tea have been used in small-scale craft dyeing for a long time. Interesting to think of using coffee on an industrial scale. The raw material is plentiful enough -- although how long that will remain true is an open question.
