This guy was determined to get the last Steelers tumbler…he spotted it from a mile away and came to check it out before his mother could even get to my table. She finally came and he asked her if she’d bug it. I told her the price, she said no. He put it down, picked it back up a few times as she looked around, so I finally asked him how much money he had. He held up his hand, gesturing the amount (nunyabusiness… lol). I took the tumbler, packaged it up, and exchanged it for his money. The look on his face was PRICELESS! Before I gave it to him, I told him to promise me ONE thing. I explained to him what it means to pay it forward and he promised to follow through. Three lessons in this for y’all…
1. Pray for a heart of generosity
2. NEVER hesitate to ask for what you want (you might get a bunch of now, but one day, someone will say yes).
3. Learn for yourself and teach your children how to pay it forward…you’d be surprised how much more blessed you become.
