Round one of Seasonal Color Analysis dye test swatches completed!

If you haven’t heard what I’m working on…
I’ve been working with a House of Colour analyst (House of Colour Marylynne Jones) to develop season-specific colorways designed around the undertones, depth, and saturation that flatter each season best. These swatches are my first round of testers and still need a little tweaking and final approval from my HOC expert, but I’m SO excited about where this is headed.

If you haven’t had your color analysis done by an in-person expert, I promise, it’s worth it!

It’s wild how much difference there can be between:
✨ warm vs cool
✨ soft vs vivid
✨ smoky vs bright

…and how those subtle shifts can completely change what lights someone up.

As an Autumn, I’ve started matching some of my own best colors to their correlated Ronan Dye colorways and 😍😍😍 I’m obsessed!

This is a great example showing how reverse dyes can require a lot of trial and error. Just because the piece is black and natural fiber doesn’t mean it will turn out like the black natural fiber piece next to it. Black fabric is rarely made with a single pure black dye — it’s usually layered colors that reveal different undertones when the black is removed. And some blacks don’t reverse at all… and you’re left with an unusable piece and lost time. It’s always an unpredictable adventure!

Hey everyone!! This week I’m going to do a little series I’m calling: “How have these not sold yet?!”
