This is a rare, beautifully preserved miniature piece by master traditional artisan Cheryl S. Mihills, who studied Art and Design at RIT and is a celebrated regular at premier heritage events like the Bedminster Traditional Artisan Show.
Unlike standard embroidery or rug hooking, her museum-quality "painting with thread" technique features an astonishing density of roughly 1,200 tiny loops per square inch using a single strand of cotton floss. This meticulous scale requires 3 to 4 hours of labor per square inch to achieve the stunning, raised structural texture seen on the grass mound and tree trunk.
A quintessential piece of fine Americana / Primitive Country home decor. Ready to display on a mantel, shelf, or gallery wall. Please see all photos for details. Will be packed securely and shipped with care.
