This *RED* is so hard to capture. This very special yarn came to me via Oriole Mill who developed it in collaboration with Dianne Kepley and Biltmore homespun museum to bring back "Coolidge Red" - this was one of the most famous fabrics woven at Biltmore Industries and was named for President Calvin Coolidge's wife, Grace.
I'm working on creating some scarves and ties that will - once again - carry the old Biltmore homespun label and be available only at Grovewood Gallery ❤️

It's been a while since I've woven with these fine rayon-bamboo and tencel yarns. This warp has been patiently waiting since February 2021 and I'm finally getting to it. I'm excited to get back to it. This warp is sett at 44 ends per inch and will probably become scarves, maybe some tops.
