Last week, our region suffered the wrath of Hurricane Helene. The devastation surrounding our team and our families is just so sad. We feel overwhelmed with the destruction, the effort to get food and clean water on the table, and the many humans who’s needs are so much greater than ours. We are lucky. Our studio and our homes are undamaged. We are safe. Our River Arts District neighborhood has been decimated. Our neighbors, their artwork, their studios are covered in toxic sludge. The buildings behind me and the infinite piles of debris, is Riverview Station and the Foundation area, just down the street from our studio that held 80+ now-destroyed artists studios. The negative economic impact of this will take many years to recover from.
It’s been a week since the storm hit and we are just unfolding from its clenches. There are still many that need our help. If you are interested in donating to Hurricane Helene relief, here are a few that we recommend:

Our parent factory, , has and will continue to lose weeks of anticipated revenue from contract production that will be nearly impossible to fulfill. This same crew sews all your Rite of Passage clothing. Our retail storefront will not be seeing the hordes of tourists we rely on each fall. If you want to support our team directly, please consider purchasing an ethically made garment from our website. All revenue will go directly to the labor that created it.
