SUNDAY BEST 🪽 The Creative Process
A note from our creative team:
We are frequently asked where our inspiration comes from and where we find the energy to produce such involved campaigns. This is always amusing to me because this aspect of the brand comes so naturally to us. I thought it might be interesting to share what our creative process was like for this particular shoot so you can peek inside what makes Nest so different from other brands. Enjoy 💋
Our newest collection, SUNDAY SERVICE, was born from the vision of our director of photography, .yahzay. Typically, I, Susan Adair, approach Yahzay with curated creative concepts or style choices that represent what Nest as a brand is focusing on or presenting to our audience. For this particular shoot, I fully entrusted .yahzay with the reins and let them capture our western edit through their perspective. Yahzay chose film as the medium and Marshall, NC as the scene. From there, I reached out to some of my aces and curated a creative team that would bring the intention behind this concept to life.
MUA: Models: Vintage Curator: Jewelry Designer:
On the day of the shoot, we began capturing images in front of some iconic church settings by happenstance. The day felt warm like a Sunday in spring. The light hit the models like angels peering through the clouds. And the style curation played with notions of First Sundays, country backroads, and the rebirth of spring. All components fell into place with a divinity that everyone on the team could feel. It was a moment where our passions aligned, and it became evident in the results.
We left that day feeling fulfilled and seen by each other. As creatives, living life authentically is not only a choice but also an important stance. Everyone is born with gifts that are uniquely specific to our individual perspectives. But it is a decision to use those gifts throughout our life to allow others the ability to experience the beauty of our vantage point.
This shoot represents so many aspects of perspective. We hope you enjoy the visuals as much as we do.
