18 hours driving round trip to surprise them with their first big convention was worth it. Every single human we interacted with during those three days was kind and respectful. It was such a pleasure to share this with my geeky spawn. They each found their own happiness in their own way and I was smiling the entire time witnessing their joy. Herding hobbits is exhausting, if you need me I’ll be napping.
