Capitalism is weird because as a brand, I guess I should be posting about some new additions to the site but as I am looking at the postcards, I feel grief.
I am looking at depictions of community and to be honest our community is and has been shattered. I am looking at depictions of love, familial, generational and agape, knowing we lost so many people who were beloved, whose lives should have mattered because we should all matter to each other.
We have lost so many people to COVID, to hate crimes, to police brutality and the truth is, I hurt.
We should all be hurting and grieving together and we're being forced to grind along.
I won't. I simply wasn't raised to see my brothers and sisters falling beside me and not care. We should be in this together, the loss of one is a loss to all. Please process this, please acknowledge these tragedies and if you need space and a place to process all this, this is it. I love you because you are here. I love you because we are made out of the same stars on the same spinning rock trying to figure out how we got here and why. You matter, I matter, the women we lost today still matter.
