Good evening! Our hours of operation are 8-3 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. We are closed on Wednesday. Please be patient with us as we are still in the grieving process. We thank you so much for your service!

Bonita Eberhart, Frank’s wife, passed away on Saturday, September 21 after a hard battle of cancer.
Please be patient as shoptimes will vary as we go through the grieving process.
The shop will be open this week, Tuesday and Thursday 8am-3pm and Friday 8am-12pm. This is subject to change without notice.
We thank you for all your support during this difficult time.
Service will be held at Erastus Christian Church Sunday, September 29 at 3pm if you would like to support Frank and his family. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the cancer foundation at cancerfoundationofgeoriga.org

Hello everyone. This is Frank’s daughter, Rachel. Unfortunately Bonita’s cancer has progressed and she’s been admitted to hospice.
Please be patient with Frank as he may be in and out of the shop without notice. He has a helper, Stan, who will be in on Tuesday and Thursdays. We thank you for all of your love and thoughts.

This is my Father, Marvin Eberhart. If you are from Athens, You knew him or your parents knew him. He had "Marvin Shoe Service" down town for 30 years. A total icon for Athenians and new comers to town. Kind of a celebrity!(He would beg to differ!) He is definitely missed by many people from Athens and people that only knew him for just a few months. My Brother Frank Eberhart has it now and doing a fantastic job! You just don't see shoe repair shops any more. Growing up in Athens was fun and being down town as a kid was even better! Down town is different now... not the same as it used to be. Growing and getting bigger by the minute! So, if your down on College Ave. and looking for some history, step inside the shoe shop and be transported back in time. The smell of the leather...the sounds of the original machines from the 50's, the personal connection you have with everyone there! What a treat! They don't take debit cards or have Wi Fi. But they can fix, shine, mend and put back together that peep toe pump that "Fido" chewed up last week! Make it look like new!
I am so proud of my Daddy and my brother for starting a Family business and keeping it going for so long. And I will always be an Athenian!! Renee Eberhart Rohme

Our church is selling chicken bbq plates in support of a lovely member. Tickets are available at the shop. They are $10 each. Puckup will be 4:00-6:00 on Saturday, March 23 at the church.
