We Bee Quiltin' & Embroiderin'

My wife, Sally, and I started We Bee Quiltin' & Embroiderin' in 2006. One mention of making a business using our hobby has led to an exciting ride. We started taking photos of each quilt that we finished. To date we have over 4,000 photos. I usually take 4 photos each quilt. At that rate we have done about 50 quilts per year. My plan was to post the photos every time a quilt was finished. So much for my good intentions. Sometimes I skipped several weeks in making the posts. So here goes from the very first quilt. Starting with Alesa, here is her quilt. It is in Fall colors with sea turtles around the borders stitched with orange Perma Core thread. Perma Core is a strong, yet soft polyester thread and is usually the thread we use.

Evelyn in Blanchard made this patriotic quilt for her son. He is in the Navy Seabees. He is on his last rotation. We quilted it with a pattern that had eagles, flags and stars. It was a pleasure to work on it.

Carol in Post Falls made this travel trailer quilt with hand embroidered trailers. We found a quilting design that had trailers. It was such a fun quilt to work with.

Mary in Rathdrum pieced this 65" X 78" quilt with purple flowers and purple pieces. Different shades of purple are blended with tiny flowers. We used a natural color thread with a pattern called Pipeline.
