Last year I asked God to show me how to authentically be myself. And He revealed to me more of my TRUE Heritage! 🪶🪶🪶
I am CHEROKEE Indian via my mother’s Deep South Carolina roots.
I am BLACKFOOT Indian via my father’s California roots.
Government, textbooks and media have mis-labelled me “Negro” “Black” “African-American” because my skin color wasn’t preferred when America began. They had me confused about who I was for a long time, but I would rather listen to my LIVING GRANDMOTHERS over the World any day.
I am an American Indian, one of the MILLIONS of us who reside in America and have longer than any other people who have came here. It’s time we are unafraid to show our culture, and celebrate our True, Indigenous, American roots.
