the [fam] grows everyday! (He/They) is an educator, entrepreneur, and creative.

Julius has developed, managed, and produced events, concerts, programming, and productions at the city level. they were the dramaturg for the Long Wharf Theater’s production of “Passing Strange” the musical and served their community as the Program and Logistics Coordinator for Elm City Lit Festival 2021.

they have been featured in New Haven Magazine’s Dreamer and Doer section and were Awarded Business New Haven’s Rising Star Honoree. as a graduate of Southern Connecticut State University, Julius holds a BA in Theater and MS in Recreation and Leisure, and a TELF/TEOSL Certificate from Oxford Seminars.

we are sisters, we are pearls. we are girls who run the world!

Pearl Fils-Aimes has been based in Atlanta shaping the confidence of women and girls. she’s a risk taker who knows what she’s capable of.

last month, we watched Pearl give young women in all ages opportunity, connections and joy within. She founded Pearl Leadership Academy to not only give women the model walk but let them know that they can be about business too.

she has given girls and women a chance to win thousands of dollars for their businesses. we helped raise funds and watched her students win over $4,000 last month!

from touring with Ebony Fashion Fair to Ted Talks, this woman knows how to work! we're honored to be in support of and the continuous community impact she brings!🖤

[yea... she’s a real game changer] ❤️‍🔥Serena's farewell is bittersweet, not only to the young black and brown tennis players that look up to her but to anyone who's followed a dream when people said you couldn't.

the 23-time grand slam winner isn't quitting tennis altogether. last night she played on U.S. soil and remained victorious.

Serena has won 73 career singles titles, 23 doubles titles, and 39 grand slam titles. she is just one singles grand slam title behind the all-time record held by Australian Margaret Court.

she has become an advocate on many topics with her bold stance in standing up for what she believes is right. from the societal pressures of women's age and motherhood while being a professional athlete to being a black woman in a white man's world.

outside of tennis, Serena has focused on investing in small businesses with her own venture capital firm. she also has a fashion line that promotes female empowerment.

because black and brown girls can be anything they want! Misty Copeland has been one of the most influential women in the world of ballet!

since 13, Misty has fought her way from homelessness to joining the American Ballet Theater’s Dance Corp. she became the first African American woman to become principal of the school.

paying huge homage to Misty for her work in providing more opportunities for the brown and black community to have within this industry. her activism has inspired hundreds of young, brown ballet classes.

we're extremely exhausted. as the government takes women's rights, we also see so many huge cases with huge names, exploiting women and girls.

Deshaun Watson and the Texans have paid off 20 women who have claims of s*xual assault. 4 extra women refused to settle for money as it has been revealed that the football team provided these women for Watson.

Ghislaine Maxwell, the wife of Jeffery Epstein, has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for their child s*x trafficking ring. as elated as you can be for the small amount of justice served for these young girls, you can't ignore the fact that there were people who worked for and were clients of the Epsteins.

Those names have not been released. these people have not been held accountable.

Robert Kelly has been sentenced to 30 years in prison. his s*xual relations with young girls have been publicly known for almost that same amount of time.

this situation has turned into jokes and giggles for pop culture and media for over a decade.

why do women have to suffer for their existence like this? why aren't women seen as human? why are we making jokes and minimizing the severity of these actions?

this month [yib] the brand is donating 10% of proceeds from ALL of our white apparel.

an organization, dedicated to providing access and resources for reproductive rights and healthcare will receive our community's donations.

WNBA Star, Brittney Griner's, Russian trial has started this month. Griner has been in the custody of the Russian government since February for alleged attempted drug smuggling.

she will be kept incarcerated for another SIX MONTHS throughout her private trial. the criminalization of cannabis has put her in jeopardy of up to 10 years in a foreign prison.

a masculine-presenting black woman, who publicly takes pride in her s*xuality. a woman who actively shows off her wife, whom she hasn't seen since before her detainment. a woman who's glorified in the world of basketball as misogynists yell about how she and other teammates belong in the kitchen has been targeted and taken advantage of to be made an example.

Griner was wrongfully targeted and detained. unfortunately, this is a common scenario for people of color both domestic and internationally; we too have become numb to news like this.

we cannot allow the consistency of these situations to be a normalized part of our culture
