Handed down thoroughly from generation to generation. L’impermeabile (landi) is today into its third generation and one of the very few left specialized in the making of the traditional “Empoli” raincoats that has contributed to the history of the ‘Made in Italy’ in the world. Today the Landi family is making sure that the classic trench coats are fit to resist the wear of time. Proud to bring them back to life in their traditional look. While a bandana always has a more utilitarian purpose, I have found a pocket square to be pretty useful too (mainly to clean my sunglasses and to dry my hands after washing). Other than that, a good light pocket square can be a great layering adition to a casual Sport jacket (or blazer) when stepping it up for a celebration or nice dinner out in the town.

In my, few decades in this planet, I have never seen a garment rise to stardom so fast (and so slow) like the very incredible Merz B Schwanen T shirt. The brand was founded in 1911 and made some of the best quality linens in Germany. But it was not until “The Bear” realized the heavy duty quality of this garment that the brand skyrocketed to fame. The issue is, Merz B Schwanen still produces just a few t shirts per year and there is always a wait on these. We are fortunate enough to have received our shipment and have them available at the shop.

There is one vintage boot I was always looking forward to score. Finding a Crockett & Jones boot in a vintage market was the score of the year. First, people do not get rid of them. Second, Ive never seen a pair that cannot be repaired and reused.
Established in 1879, Crockett & Jones specialized in sturdy men’s boots until the company was commissioned to produce over a million pairs for the Brittish army during World War II. The brand pivoted toward high-end luxury footwear and retail, opening its first shop on Jermyn Street, London, in 1997. Still family-owned and managed after five generations, the company gained international fame as the footwear of choice for James Bond in films like Skyfall. Today, they continue to operate out of their historic Magee Street factory, which was designated a Grade II listed building in 2004.
