The bedroom remodel may not look dramatically different yet (and I didn't get a lot of good video footage) but these last couple of weeks were all about checking things off the list.

The closet doors are in, the floor is finally uncovered, and I've spent some fun moments crawling around on my hands and knees. 😅

I always forget how old houses work...you start one project and end up discovering three more along the way. But little by little, it's coming together.

After months of sleeping in the living room, I'm starting to believe I might actually have my bedroom back someday.

And yes... I'm still trying to decide what color/pattern those floors should be. So what would you do?

🎉 Apparently Facebook awarded me an Emerging Talent badge this week for creating engaging content that sparks interest among my audience.

And it's only taken me 15 years to get there 😂

For those of you who weren't around back then, this was during the early years of my little shop back in 2013. It's hard to believe it's been that long.

This page has changed a lot over the years. It started as a way to connect with my local customers, and now it's become a place where I share home projects, gardening, thrifting adventures, Bailey, and whatever else I'm getting myself into that week 😅

I'm grateful for every one of you who has stuck it out with me through so many changes, who comment, laugh with me (sometimes at me...I get it 😂) and just simply cheer me on in my endeavors. And of course the new comers who may not even remember those years...I'm happy you're here!

As always if something I post makes you smile, inspires an idea, or reminds you of someone else, I'd be honored if you'd share it.

Thanks for your support dear friends! ❤️

One of my favorite finds from an estate sale this past weekend was these boxes of books. 😍

Most of them are super old, many are Christian, and a few of them are very rare!

If you didn't know already I LOVE old books and specifically collect old Christian or religious themed books, so finding a box like this is pretty much my version of striking gold 😅

This was only a small part of what I brought home, but I'll have to share more of my haul later...I just couldn't wait to share these.

I'll be keeping a few favorites for my own collection and listing the rest on Etsy once I've had a chance to sort through them all. 📚

Month one on Etsy is officially in the books!

When I opened this shop, I honestly had no idea what would sell, if anything would sell, or how long it would take to gain traction. So I'm pretty pleased with how things are going so far.

My goal was to reach 100 listings by the end of the month. I didn't quite make it, but I did get 89 items listed and made 11 sales along the way.

11 sales
89 active listings
376 visits
$293 in sales

That may not seem like much to some but I've always loved the verse, "Do not despise these small beginnings." Every business starts with one sale, one customer, and one step forward.

One of the most fun parts has been seeing where everything is going. So far, I've shipped items to 11 different states!

Thank you to everyone who has purchased something, followed along, shared a listing, or cheered me on. I'm excited to see what month two brings!

Playing with AI again… this time trying to envision a painted floor for the bedroom 😅

I’m thinking a really oversized checkerboard pattern and leaning toward one of these three color options.

The room already has enough going on between the mural ceiling and the built in closets so I’m trying to figure out what feels appropriate without completely taking over the room.

Obviously the bed will take up a lot of space and I'll most likely have a large rug that will cover a lot but that being said, what do you think? Which one would you choose?

We’re finally getting past the really messy stage of this bedroom remodel… and I have to say, I will not miss the sheetrock dust 😅

The walls are patched, the ceiling work is mostly done, the doors are framed out, and now the entire floor is finally up. Underneath was the original floor from 1910… although somewhere along the line it was painted a few too many times to be considered a “beautiful hidden treasure” 😂

So no, I will definitely not be stripping all that paint off. The plan is still to paint them, I’m just trying to decide what direction I want to go with it now.

It’s starting to feel less like demolition and more like an actual room again, which honestly feels really good after weeks of dust, mess, and chaos.

Now the real question is… who wants to help me haul all this old flooring downstairs? 😜

It's easy to get caught up in the frustrations and challenges of everyday life, but Memorial Day is a reminder of just how much we have to be grateful for.

As we spend time with family and friends, let's not forget the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country and the families who continue to carry that loss.

"Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends." — John 15:13

Today we remember their sacrifice and give thanks for the freedoms we often take for granted. ❤️🤍💙
