Wuttke also realized that his customers, technicians and dockhands in the shipyards of Germany, were in constant need of sturdy, water resistant, work-wear. d to some of the world’s toughest elements. These decades of knowledge in performance, ergonomics concerning the requirements for tough and practical work-wear, Thomas Wuttke, the grandson of the founder, entered the company in 1986 and began to create a new generation of functional jackets. In the last ten years WELLENSTEYN has become Germany´s number one jacket brand and is now more popular than ever. The constant improvement in fabrics, functionality and last but not least the style is a permanent challenge in the creation of WELLENSTEYN clothing for generations. The owner still supervises the production site himself to maintain WELLENSTEYN´s quality at its highest level.
