It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved founder and owner, Maria Guadalupe Cervantez, who left this world on June 25, 2025.
For 33 years, Maria poured her heart, soul, and immense talent into Alterations & More, serving the Austin community with dedication, precision, and a warmth that made every customer feel like family. Whether you were a longtime client or walked in for the first time, Maria greeted you with a kind smile, a listening ear, and a commitment to making you look and feel your best. Her passion wasn’t just in the stitches she sewed, but in the connections and friendships she created.
Maria often said that the greatest joy of her work came from the people she met and served. She treasured each and every one of you, and it was her deepest regret that she didn’t get a chance to say a proper goodbye.
From the bottom of our hearts, we want to express our profound gratitude to the Austin community for your support, loyalty, and friendship over the past three decades. You helped turn Maria’s dream into a thriving business, and more importantly, a place of love, laughter, and trust.
