Aparigraha is this practice of non-hoarding, non-greediness, and non-possessions. In other words, itβs about letting go of unwanted energy and unhealthy attachments. Donating extra clothes and household items are a great way to practice non-possessions and non-hoarding, but I also like to think of non-hoarding with my emotions as well. This idea of not holding onto sadness or negative energy for extended periods of time or not holding onto anger and pain for extended periods of time. Instead, feel those emotions in the present moment, then release them.

The spiritual life is always about letting go; itβs never about holding on. The first step is the hardest because it means embracing something new and walking away from what is familiar. When you start to doubt your decisions or progression, remember, when things change within you, things begin to change around you. π€β¨
