Cathy’s Cleaners Downtown/at First is a multi-lingual small family owned dry-cleaning and alterations services business. We pride ourselves in having a loyal customers based because the quality of our work. We keep promises so you “won’t be taken to the cleaners.” We work along side our employees so we’re always there like family and we’re searching to hire a tailor that can also provide front counter help.
Job Descriptions
Same day provisional Start
Required Responsibilities:
You are proficient in reading, speaking, and writing in English and other languages is a plus
You are comfortable with commercial sewing, ironing, and machines
You have advanced tailoring or seamstress experiences: (you can alter wedding dresses, suits, shirts, hem up/down pants, construct from ideas to wearable or working garment, comfortable to create garment from patterns, able to tackle a problem with solutions.)
Your work speak for itself since it represents you
You can invoice customers with the Point of Sale software
You have a reliable mode of transportation or are able to arrange reliable transportation
Preferred Skills:
You can operate a cash register
You can communicate with staff and customers
You can provide- friendly, initiative driven, customer service skills to intake clothes, organize, tagged, received back cleaned and processed clothes
You can maintain and retain customers by providing an organized space with cleaned and well-tailored experience
You can maintain opening and closing store duties
You can be a Key holder
Salary/Benefits:
Weekly pay ($14 per hour)
Full time work schedule position
Flexible scheduling with the Cleaners operational hours, (Monday-Saturday, or Monday-Friday,) Sundays are closed
Dynamic downtown working atmosphere with net working opportunities from our customers
Perks on cleaning and alterations
Paid Training will be provided for counter help
