Welcome 2021! Last year was challenging and full of surprises. I think it made us all focus on what's important, brought us closer to our loved ones and let us stay closer to those we appreciate the most. I am very thankful for my family, friends and my work. These make me feel happy, fulfilled and connected.

It has been a challenging times for all of us in many different ways. COVID scrambled our plans, changed our schedules and made us be flexible and hopefully more kind and considerate to each other.

What hasn’t changed is that people are still falling in love and getting married regardless of the circumstances.

I have experienced a lot of rescheduling. Some brides have moved their weddings to spring and fall of 2021. Some have decided to get married in their backyard with a smaller group of family members. Regardless, every girl wants to have that Big Day special dress that fits her like a glove to remember for the rest of her life.

I enjoy working with each bride and have adopted procedures to ensure my studio is a healthy place to visit. So, rest assured that I care about your health (and mine!) and am here, ready to meet your needs and your schedule!

Small weekend is over.. now entering big weekend. Life didn’t stop completely but it sure slowed down in Austin TX because of COVID.

A lot of brides had to change their wedding plans and make difficult decisions. It is heartbreaking to see how someone’s dream wedding won’t happen in a castle in England this May. I can’t imagine the level of grief of those whose loved one passed away. It is a difficult time for all of us, but it should get better.

I see people taking walks outside, playing with kids, mowing and grooming their lawn and washing their cars. It is beautiful weather and life is still going on. It feels like the Groundhog weekend Day every day.

Most of my fittings were rescheduled to July, September and October. Some of them were moved as far as March 2021. Only one wedding was canceled. I reply to every email timely and I continue doing my sewing work, to insure nothing falls through the cracks and is rescheduled/completed accurately.

My most unusual bride was the skiing one this year. It must be fun to get married in a snow :)
