Last fall we started hosting a coffee meetup, now cleverly called The Coffee Meetup 😄, and it’s been such a fun and low-commitment way to catch up, on both life and business/career things.

As someone who loves cancelled plans 😄, I love meeting up for these each month. We meet at a different local coffee shop in the Austin area the Second Tuesday of each month.

Things I never knew would be on the Dolce feed…boxed cakes 😄. It had literally been decades since I made a boxed cake. Nothing against boxed cakes, because I love the comfort and nostalgia of them, but as a baker, it just didn’t feel right 😄.

Well, my brother and sister wanted boxed cakes of their childhoods for their birthdays, so how could I say no ❤️. Except I couldn’t bring myself to put gluten-full flour in my mixer 😄…so I made them at my mom’s 😄.

A Dolce favorite is available to pre-order ✨
Our coconut bread is one of our most-loved bakes. It has a soft, tender crumb, is made with local eggs and organic sugar, among other organic ingredients, and is lightly sweet, with just the right amount of coconut. It’s breakfast, a simple dessert, or that much needed pick-me-up. It’s a quiet comfort.

Meet me at Cuppa Austin Coffee next Friday between 5:00 and 6:30 to bring home your coconut bread.

Our sweet Deacon went to heaven yesterday morning ❤️.

We’ll miss you forever. You will always be one of our greatest loves. Our first son ❤️. It’s a privilege and an honor to be your momma and poppa ❤️. Thank you for all of your love, sweet kisses, and the beautiful life that you helped give us. Your sweet barks are music that we’ll always cherish and miss. We’ll meet you in heaven one day, and until then, you’ll be in our hearts and a part of us forever. We love you, and your brother and sister love you, too ❤️.

Dolce is back.
Again ✨

There’s been a lot of pup shares lately, some real estate in the Dolce stories here and there, and some shop updates, but it’s been a long time since I’ve baked for Dolce.

Where has Dolce been? The short version is after another hiatus, for life and personal reasons, it feels right to Dolce again.

Dolce makes its returning debut on November 21st for in-person pick ups for pre-orders.

The beloved Coconut Bread returns ✨. It’s one of those perfect anytime-of-day, any-occasion kind of celebration desserts and the breakfast bread favorite.

Dolce has always been a love that I return to, it’s one of my ways of creating and sharing meaningful things, and it feels extra special when that’s something I’ve created from recipe to finished item, with so much intention.

I love that food is a connector and adds to celebrations, even the every day moments kind.

We hosted our first volunteering event through For The Pups this morning 🐾☀️🎉. It means so much to have had the opportunity to do this and to have the support of those that joined and are interested in joining for future pup volunteer parties ✨.

We had our first For The Pups volunteering event today at ! ☀️ It was such a great experience and we’re starting off the week with full hearts, and having done a little more good ✨.

Big thank you to Jamie () and Rachel (), Ethan, and Jaxson, for selflessly sharing their time this morning and joining us for the shelter tour, tidying up the living room spaces that the pups relax and play in, and the Kong-making making party 🎉.

Also! Thank you to Marcie of Austin Animal Center for hosting us this morning ✨. We had so much fun! And learned so much.

One of my new favorite coffee shops is . I went twice recently. Once to meet my new friend, Jamie, of , and the other with my friend Alexis and her mom.

My go-to’s are drip coffee or some kind of almond milk latte, both are delicious here! Their almond milk latte is one of the best that I’ve had.

And the peach danish was ✨. Thankful Alexis shared hers, because it was the last one 😄.

Happy 3rd Birthday to My Favorite and Most Handsome Nephew ❤️🎉. We love you so much, Zen! ❤️

It was seriously one of the greatest honors to make his birthday pupCakes ❤️. This guy loves pumpkin! And his pumpkin and rabbit treats. I brought two of his loves together with pumpkin pupCakes, a swirl of mashed potato icing…and a pumpkin + rabbit treat topper ✨.

Sebastián was so patient waiting for his share of the celebration 😄❤️.

Zen’s poppa (.x) gave him the best birthday! Complete with a pool all of his own for the backyard ❤️🌊.
