Hard to believe Summer is winding down and it’s already time to go back to school! Is everyone in the house up to date on their glasses and contacts?
Just a friendly reminder kids should be seen by an eye doctor every year. Sooner if there are any signs of vision changes or problems. Many schools offer vision screenings, but these do not replace your child’s yearly comprehensive eye exam with us.
A screening only determines distance acuity. An eye exam assesses their ability to focus the eyes, use them together and other perceptual skills. Additionally an eye exam checks the health of the eyes inside and out. We eye doctors can determine vision problems early, increasing the likelihood that treatment will be effective.
