Motherhood changes shape so many times over a life.

This Mother’s Day feels especially significant to me, as it will be my last with a child living fully under our roof before we become empty nesters.

Of course the mothering does not end.
But it does mark the close of an era that took 21 years to build — one made of school mornings, late-night talks, many packed lunches, worry, joy, growth, exhaustion, laughter, and love woven into the marvelous fabric of everyday life.

There is grief in that.
And also tremendous pride.

To all mothers — and to all women who nurture, guide, create, support, and hold space for others — today is for you too.
