My dad once told me, “Look for the hard workers in your community. The ones with energy in their step and a smile on their face, the people you genuinely enjoy connecting with. That’s who you want on your team as you grow.”

I thought about that often when I interacted with Jose, our mailman at the time. He hustled through his route like it was his mission to make everyone’s day a little brighter. He knew every neighbor by name, sent texts on Mother’s Day, Christmas, birthdays.

He was the best employee I never officially got to hire…until one day, I asked if he wanted to come work for us after he retired.

Y’all bought over 50 Deep in the Heart of Texas hats and we are working away on them in between existing orders. We’ll be shipping these hats over the next two weeks as we are still waiting on a few blank hats to arrive.

One of my favorite things about running Lovely Little Things over the past five years has been the mamas I’ve connected with along the way.

is one of those people. I’ve followed her for years and always find myself inspired by the way she leans into life’s moments—big and small. From birthday parties and Halloween costumes to back-to-school mornings and everyday magic at home, she has a way of making it all feel meaningful (and beautiful).

It’s no surprise that she and Goldie designed another stunning backpack this year. The blue ribbon floral with pink embroidery is classic, sweet, and timeless.
