Hi, we’re Ori! We’re a tiny-but-mighty, all-female team based in Los Angeles, California.
We started this brand in an effort to offer the high-quality, thoughtfully designed garments at an accessible price point that have been missing from plus sizes for so long.
Plus size clothing has been an afterthought for as long as we can remember. Even today, in 2020, when two-thirds of us wear a size 14 or above, we're still trying to figure out where to find clothing that fits.
We want to do better than "clothing that fits." We want incredible fabrics, gorgeous colors, and thoughtful technical design specifically addressing the details of plus size silhouettes.
We are a Certified Women-Owned Business by the prestigious Women's Business Enterprise National Council. WBENC maintains rigorous standards for certification and is a leading advocate for female business owners and entrepreneurs.
We're hell-bent on bringing Ori to life because we hope that it becomes more than just clothes.
We hope Ori becomes the ease and familiarity of a favorite tee or go-to dress that you're wearing while leaning fully & delightfully & enthusiastically into exactly who you are, as you are, in every single present moment.
Our design ethos is focused around elevated, everyday wardrobe pieces that are comfortable all day long.
We use soft, textured, durable fabrics in every garment, and design silhouettes to maximize versatility: most of our pieces easily transition from day to night and work-week to weekend.
Our loyal customers describe the brand as “comfy & chic”: on the outside, our garments look incredibly modern, polished, and flattering—but they’re secretly as comfortable as your favorite loungewear.
We're thoughtful about every piece that makes it into our assortment. We make limited production runs in each style, but we are always working on re-stocking and expanding into new colorways.*

As a small team, we're hands-on throughout the entire process, from concept, to sourcing, to design and fitting and revisions, all the way to coordinating full production shipments, counting the inventory, and sending it on its way in each order.
Our garments are made in China. We are honored to work with one of the best manufacturing companies in the world with a global footprint—they mill incredible, unique fabrics, have been in business for 150+ years, and have stringent and comprehensive compliance codes for safe, comfortable working environments. Our team working on Ori is based in Los Angeles (finance/admin), Japan (sampling), and China (manufacturing). They truly care about every last detail of the Ori garments, and we've loved working with them to manufacture each new style.
As a small company, one of our advantages is our closeness to our customer, and being able to chat with you and design for you as we grow. We love getting feedback from y'all, and try to incorporate it back into the design, assortment, and brand at every point in the process.
