This was one of the moments that my heart screamed yes!! with less than 72 hours prior to jumping on a flight to LA to film season 18 of RuPauls Drag Race, I got a phone call from her in a state of panic about a costume that just wasn’t right the fit was entirely off. I received another following phone call from one of our mutual friends asking me to make her a last-minute ensemble.

They filled me in on some details of what I would be creating the look for….. The theme, “My neck, My back”.

We chose the color schematic, fabric and embellishments, and I got to work immediately.

It’s not even a guarantee that each costume will be featured in an episode, because the challenges and themes are chosen randomly. Just recently after aired this year, I watched Episode two of season 18 and it features the two piece ensemble that I created within a 72 hour timeframe.

Sleep was the last priority on my list, the success and the support of was our first. I worked tirelessly until I delivered just hours before she hopped on a flight.

Had my work ethic been anything less than on overdrive all the time, I would’ve dropped the ball, but luckily I was raised to be a hard-working gal. 

This is what it looks like when you don’t give up on your dreams, this is what it looks like when you say yes, and you figure the rest out later….. this is what happens when you plant seeds and you consistently water them over a period of time.

So beyond Grateful. Beyond Proud of myself. So proud of my girl Athena, and absolutely in love of the friends that introduced us. 2026 is giving all the feels of success! ❤️❤️❤️
