Its various pages promote fine motor skills such as tying shoelaces, buckling, braiding, zipping, and snapping; cognitive skills such as counting, writing, and identifying colors and shapes; and imagination and pretend play through a telephone, mail box, brushing teeth, grocery shopping, and more! A Quiet Book is perfect to entertain young children without the use of technology. Keep it in your ca
r and take it to doctor's appointments, church services, siblings' extra-currlicular activities, restaurants, car rides, or airplane trips. I organize swap groups and lead you through the collaborative process of making your own Quiet Book. You can either gather your own friends and host a swap or I can add you to one of my public swap groups. Each member of the group will choose ONE page design and make X number of copies depending on the number of people in your group. I usually allow 3 months to complete your pages, and then we will all meet to swap pages and assemble your books. I have pages for all skill levels - beginning crafters to experienced. Templates and instructions are provided for every page, and I also send you a tutorial for making a fabric cover. I take care of ordering the necessary hardware supplies for assembly. I am also available for any questions or advice throughout the entire process, and I will be at the swap to teach you how to install grommets and assemble your books. Each person buys the supplies for her page and cover. can participate by mailing your pages. Go to www.quietbookqueen.com to see what swaps are available!
