Project Your Best

Project Your Best Project Your Best is a mom-run business dedicated to helping fellow moms get dressed in a way that makes them feel their best so they can pursue their purpose.

Services include secondhand personal shopping and virtual wardrobe consulting. As a recovering fast-fashion addict and busy mom of three I get it! I get that motherhood is magical but tends to take over your identity so that you may hardly recognize the woman in the mirror anymore. I get that getting dressed is about ease, comfort, machine-washability, and what mostly fits. I get that it's easy to

buy what's cheap, accessible and delivered for free in 2 days or less. I also get that although you'll wear a dozen hats during the day, from the neck down it's important to look in the mirror and see YOU! You are worthy of a wardrobe that reflects YOU and helps you feel your best so that you can step into the day and give it your best. I get that things don't fit the same and you don't have extra money to splurge on clothes. I get that your heart is open to protecting Earth's resources and fellow moms around the globe like it never could have before you became a mom. I am the mom next door who loves to put together practical outfits, shop secondhand, and share information about how to achieve a more sustainable wardrobe. I'm so glad you're here and can't wait to meet you!

Gold star for the dress section today ⭐️

3 or 4 of these were all together… the styles don’t seem like they would have come from the same person 🤔 but maybe she’s on her personal style journey 🤔 or maybe a mom was pulling ideas for a fighter that were all rejected and put back in a group 🤔

Are you even thrifting if you’re not making up tales about the life the clothes have already lived? 💭

Going to the chapel this summer? 🔔 Or ballroom or beach?

Whether you’re the one in white or the one trying to figure out the creatively-worded dress code, weddings present plenty of opportunities to wear a beautiful dress… once.

That’s why they’re the perfect occasion to buy pre-owned! I’ve pulled a collection of dresses for brides and guests alike in a range of dress codes and silhouettes. The full collection can be found at the link in my bio 💍 (love one that’s already been claimed - just “shop similar” for dozens more options!)

I want to talk about those pants 😒👖

A pair of pants that I like. Pants that are my size. Pants that should technically fit me. Pants I got a great deal on.

A pair of pants I’ve never worn. Pants whose elastic is so aggressive I’d have indents for days. Pants I could maybe fit into someday. Maybe if I rearrange some organs and lose 18% of my body weight.

There they hang. Every day. Not in the rumpled pile of well worn and loved pants. In the more-visible hanging spot, reminding me every day of what could and should work but doesn’t through some seeming personal fault. I made a choice that didn’t work out and I’ve reminded myself every day for at least a year since. Honestly, it’s probably two.

As you read this I’m taking the pants down. I’m taking pictures of the pants. The pants are listed in my resale closets. The pants have occupied my physical and mental space for far too long. ✌️👖

Dopamine dressing? No, rage dressing 😡

Wear what makes you feel happy, empowered, confident, strong, joyful and authentic. “Flattering” has always centered others. Center yourself. Get dressed and do good.

These make perfect sense in my 🧠

The artsy paint-splattered button front has to go with a casual sneaker whereas the puff shoulder sweatshirt has to go with the preppy loafers. I usually need a little opposition.

Ooh, maybe that’s why getting dressed has felt like a struggle lately. The world feels like too much opposition already. But… six days at Orlando theme parks was such a good detox from the real world and the news. Going to take advantage and try to get dressed this week as I transition back to reality.

Getting dressed this week. Always trying to do good.

Baseball to business to black tie - this thrift haul has it all!

Shop secondhand first for your basics and special occasions - it’s almost guaranteed that what you want or need is already out there. Don’t love rack surfing like me? Then shop pre-owned sites where the sorting has already been done for you. Like my Poshmark closet - Amoatz 😉

Now to decide if I’m trying on the dress or cashmere pants first 🤔

An overstuffed closet hates to see me coming… or loves it 🤷🏻‍♀️

Fourth buyout of 2026 is in the books and lots of amazing pieces will be added to my resale closets this weekend! {Hoka, Free People, Lululemon, COS, Veronica Beard, Nisolo, Tuckernuck, etc}

If you’re in the path of the storm or out exercising your rights this weekend stay safe and be warm! ❄️🧣🪧

Surprised by any of these?

Of course, I’m only sharing the 6 most recent sales on Poshmark (and there are critics of this accuracy to begin with) but overall I stand by my evaluation. These brands have a fairly high retail value and consistently show that their resale is 20% or less than the original tag. I regularly leave these behind at the thrift store and (at least feel like) I disappoint buyout clients when I quote their resale value.

If you love any of these brands, buy them secondhand. They’re a great value on the secondhand market!

If you resell, proceed with caution. Do your due diligence to make sure the value is there, because the brand alone is not going to be enough. (See all the Vince, Parker & Theory sitting stale as an open bag of chips in my Posh closet!)
