So many photos and so much LOVE!!! Almost 7 months- from devastation to rebirth. It started with the hellish task of going through all of the wet, smoke damaged contents of a 16 year ‘home’ of my creative soul. I think I actually DID indeed cry a river! The loss just 4 months on the heels of losing my mother was crushing. Looking at new spaces that were lovely and full of potential but NQR was really hard, there was profound loneliness in starting over. Kim gently suggested the space across the hall from their great studio. It was so different and the historic floors were amazing but rustic(think white silk and factory floors) but that ceiling! That height, those trusses.. a new kind of cathedral! I fell in love with the possibility once again, back with dear friends who have snacks😂.Thursday as the last bits of trim were placed in the blue cabinets I made myself a dress to wear. That’s some epic self care for me! At 1 pm the flood gates of love opened.!! What a day of joy and gratitude, thank you to everyone that came to celebrate - so many faces from the beginning of the jag journey, new faces, young people and 8 week old baby Frankie! I’m having a hard time putting it all into words, I can’t thank my daughter Jewell for getting me over the finish line with her organization and clipboard!!! Roland was always there to haul stuff in and drag stuff out, never a grumble! And hostess extraordinaire thank you!!
