Our Story
As a child in Washington, D.C., I learned various crafts such as sewing, knitting, macrame, tie dyeing ,batik, clay, beading, woodburning, origami and glass cutting. But I love crocheting and I became very good at it. My mother used to crochet as a child, creating bed dolls w/crocheted dresses to sell in the city. She taught me how to crochet at the age of 10. I started crocheting hats, granny square ponchos and vests for myself. Over the years, I would create baby blankets, lapghans and tissue holders for family and friends as gifts. From 2008 to 2015, I stopped crocheting because I went back to school. After my retirement in 2015, I decided I would start Lil N Jay Products. I started by making and selling all natural body lotions, body washes and soy candles. Then I started crocheting again, selling my items at craft fairs, flea markets and online.
