24x24 bleach technique on fabric. What do you all think? Don't know what to price them at. I'm thinking $80 to $100 depending... They are light weight and easy to transport so good for fest vending!

As I stare at this piece I made back in the early 2000’s it strikes me how much time and energy it represents. Made in an analog age with black and white film, fiber based paper and glue it was a physical process from start to finish. To begin, I first had to find myself in India in 1998 with a camera to make the shots on T-max film, bring it home and hand process it in my personal wet lab darkroom. I personally printed all my prints with a Bessler 23c on a range of Ilford and Bergger FB papers and then combined the shots in a 3D collage shadowbox made from Letramax and
glue.
I began making 3D collages back in the late 1990’s when access to a darkroom was sporadic and I was kind of happily forced to vent my creative manna with what I had on hand, which was hundreds of my own photos. The subtle depth plays with the eyes to add dimensions to the flat surfaces and I utilize this to give the eye a little more to entertain it than a simple photograph. A vast sense of space is invoked with the use of just a few centimeters of depth and perspective is toyed with by using different photos for the front, middles and background. It feels as if you could walk into my 3D pieces.
How I ended up in India in 1998 is a story in and of itself but it exemplifies my understanding of my role as an artist, which is just live a wild life and make art. There are 3 shots here, with the two temples being in Bodh Gaya and the background is from the Ellora Caves. The Bodh Gaya temple site is located on the spot where Siddhartha Gautama attained enlightenment and became the Buddha. I was there to see the Dalai Lama, who was on a rare visit to the site of the Bodhi Tree to lead thousands of pilgrims in the Bodhisattva Vow. So ya… I did that.

I've finished with the markets for the season and it was fantastic! I really couldn't have asked for anything more but now is the time to focus on my on-line sales so please, just like and share this! Or buy the damn beautiful thing!
