The summer has flown by and it is almost October, one of my favorite months. I have been making more jackets with my deconstructed screen cotton fabrics plus I just spent 5 days at Anderson Art Ranch where I got to play with steel and lathe. Before that I spent 9 days in Iceland hiking in places along the Ring Road. Highlight was a live, very active Volcano.

Since I closed my big studio I have been busy re-purposing clothing at my "home" studio. I have more jean jackets in the works using some of my fabric, ribbon ruffles and fabric dye. Here are some samples. I will be in Telluride for a weekend Art Bazaar on June 26 and 27. Come by if you are there.

My COVID 19 Staycation has been very productive. I have moved one type of my fabric dyeing home and I have created at least 9 pieces new pieces, some of them are below. My joy comes from the process and experimenting with layering colors and painted screens. Consequently I will be posting many of my pieces on Etsy so I can continue to expand my imaginative play. More on that soon.

An evolving series on cotton fabrics created during my COVID 19 Stay-cation. These are mostly 44' X 92." I am waiting on bigger screens and more dye colors so I can really have fun. BTW - these colors are not true.

I finally found a way to use some of the fabric I have been creating for the past 2 years...all cotton pieces hand screened, painted and/or dyed.

Some new fabrics, some cotton and some silk. Deconstructing Screen Printing is the process although the organza is hand painted. Website getting up soon - amybdesigns.com. I am participating in the Telluride Arts Bazaar Nov. 29, 30 and Dec. 1 so come by.
