I did EVERYTHING I could to not paint this vintage dresser. The details in the wooden drawers was beautiful! But there was so much chipped veneer and I couldn’t sand without destroying the edges. It was also dry and brittle so the chemicals made it even worse. After filling and carefully sanding there continued to be visible chipping and I had put HOURS of work into this piece. Some times you cut your loses…and paint.
