Clean out your closet, bring the pieces you’re no longer wearing, and come swap them for something new-to-you! 👗🥂

We’re hosting a fun afternoon at House of Colour where you can sip, shop, swap, and connect—and the best part? You don’t have to be a House of Colour client or have had a color analysis to participate!

HERE’S HOW IT WORKS:

👚 Bring 5–20 gently used, good-quality clothing items, shoes, or accessories that you’re ready to pass along.

📍 Drop off your items at House of Colour:
Friday, October 16 | 1–5 PM
Saturday, October 17 | 10 AM–12 PM

🎟️ You’ll receive one swap ticket for every item you bring.

🥂 Come back on Sunday, October 18 from 2–4 PM for our Sip & Swap! Use your tickets to shop the swap and take home some new-to-you favorites. And don’t forget a bag for your finds!

💰 $20 participation fee

🌈 All sizes, styles & colors are welcome! We just ask that you keep black items to a minimum so we can create a colorful selection for everyone.

One of the biggest misconceptions about your House of Colour fan? You’re not limited to the 36 colors on it! 👀

Your fan is a starting point—a tool to help you understand the family of colors that creates harmony for you.

Because there are thousands of colors you can wear beyond the exact swatches on your fan. That’s where your season’s vocabulary words come in.

House of Colour gives each season words to describe the qualities of your best colors, so instead of walking into a store thinking, “I can only buy these 36 colors,” you can start recognizing colors that have the same qualities as your best colors.

And your fan has several other tools built into it to help you find that harmony while you’re out shopping in the wild. 🛍️

“THAT’S CRAZY.” 😂

She said it approximately 47 times during her color analysis… and honestly, I get it.

There are no bad colors. Some colors just make you look a little more alive than others.

She’s a Spring, and when we put her best warm, bright, clear colors next to her face, you can literally watch her skin come to life. ✨

Brighter skin. Clearer eyes. More dimension. More glow.

And the best part? It’s not magic. It’s color harmony.

Once you see what your colors can do for you, shopping gets easier, getting dressed gets easier, and suddenly you understand why some colors have always felt so right.

And yes… sometimes the only appropriate response is:

Day in the Life — Part Two ✨

Now for the part of my day you probably don’t get to see as often—the studio!

My first client of the day was here for a Style Analysis. This is where we take a deeper look at how clothing can work for you—your proportions, lines, silhouettes, scale, and the details that create harmony with your features and natural structure.

We also determine your clothing personality, which is essentially the overall feeling and visual language that makes clothing feel most authentic to you. Her clothing personality is Natural Gamine, so we’re looking for a combination of relaxed, natural elements with the playful, crisp, youthful details of Gamine. It’s not about putting you in a box—it’s about giving you a framework for understanding why certain clothes feel so right.

My second client was here for a Color Analysis! 🌈

This is so much more than finding a few colors you look good in. We use precision draping to determine your natural season and sub-season, looking at things like undertone, depth, chroma, contrast, and harmony. From there, we identify your best colors, your WOW colors, metals, neutrals, makeup direction, and the colors that will make getting dressed and shopping so much easier.

The biggest benefit of color analysis is having clarity. Instead of constantly wondering, “Does this color look good on me?” you begin to understand exactly what works—and why. It can simplify your closet, make shopping easier, help you choose makeup and accessories with confidence, and ultimately make getting dressed a whole lot more enjoyable.

And then… it’s time to head home and switch back into Mom Life. 😂 Dinner, homework, all the usual evening chaos—and because apparently business owners don’t know how to fully turn their brains off, a little more admin work before calling it a night.
