TEAMMATE WEEKLY HIGHLIGHT: Maddy & Jackson Camping in Baldwin, MI
After finding a spot near enough the river we set up camp! Jackson chewed on his beef sticks while tents were built and firewood gathered. Once camp was set up we hiked our happy selves down to the river for evening fishing. Note that the entire 3 hour drive up we had been listening to a creepy podcast about odd occurrences in the woods! We continued to listen as we made our way down for fishing. Upon walking back to camp in the dark, after only catching a few small trout, we decided that we were thoroughly creeped out and nervously laughed on our way back through the dark woods! After returning to camp, I proceeded to smash all the marshmallows as my brother cooked supper over the fire. That night, my brother swore he heard a group of people camping nearby in the early hours of the morning but the next morning.... nobody there! The following day we thoroughly checked that we were in fact alone in the woods before pushing onward! It was nothing but hiking, fishing and campfire cooking for the next few days!! A long weekend of the great outdoors, creepy stories and good company! The best kind!
