Finished the Bohemian Blooms throw the other night around midnight. This beautiful design by Jane Crowfoot is really a master class in crochet. I enjoyed making it and learned a lot in the process!
I did make a few changes in my throw: changed the placement of some of the flower motifs and added two sections to make it a little larger. I loved working with the exquisite Rowan yarns featured in the design, including silk, yak, alpaca, wool, and cotton.

During the riots downtown one year ago, vandals threw chairs through my windows at Fra Angelica Studio in the 5th Street Arcades. They broke in and trashed the inside. These criminals shattered more than glass with their vicious actions, and, with a heavy heart, I decided to close the retail store. Spike and I have missed all our friends during this stay-at-home time this past year and hope to see you at some events around town now that things are opening up.

I don't intend to open another retail location, but you'll find our items in several local galleries. Currently we have things at Pipspieces on the Square in Burton and at True North Cultural Arts Center on Lake Road in Avon Lake. Also, please stay tuned as you may find us online soon.

Pipspieces Art Studio/Classes/Retail is offering our vegetable jewelry for sale in their studio. There are earrings, cuff bracelets, and necklaces.

Be sure to visit this beautiful new store on the Square in Burton. Pip Malensek, the owner/artist, makes amazing jewelry and also offers handmade items by other local artists.

I wish her the best of luck in her new venture!

One year ago today I "temporarily" closed the store in the 5th Street Arcades due to covid and intended to re-open the first week in June. As most of you know, we sustained damage during the riots downtown on May 30, and I permanently closed the retail location in June. We're fine, still living in our covid bubble, and hope you all stay safe and healthy.

What have you been up to lately? I hope everyone is well and enjoying the today's sunshine.

I started another throw, the Bohemian Blooms. Really enjoying working on it. The colors are beautiful, and it uses lots of interesting fibers, including yak, silk, alpaca, merino wool, cotton. The motifs are fun and interesting to crochet.

Just finished this Acanthus Scarf, using motifs from the Fruit Garden throw. It's crocheted using a silky bamboo / cotton yarn. The lacey crocheted look gives us hope that Spring is on the way!

Just checking in to wish everyone health and happiness in these challenging times. I just finished the pictured Fruit Garden throw, the crochet-along project I posted in process previously. I enjoyed making it but it was a real challenge!
