BEAUMONT: MAJOR $29.3 MILLION OVERHAUL PLANNED FOR DOWLEN ROAD H-E-B PLUS!
A massive Texas grocery retailer is gearing up to invest nearly $30 million into modernizing its footprint in Jefferson County.
State filings reveal plans for a massive $29,300,000 commercial alteration project at the H-E-B Plus! store located at 3025 Dowlen Road in Beaumont. The extensive renovation project spans 129,000 square feet, indicating a comprehensive overhaul of the store's existing layout and infrastructure.
The scope of work includes replacing walk-in coolers, updating grocery equipment, and installing new associated refrigeration units across the facility. On the customer-facing side, the project will bring a brand-new curbside pickup area, new vestibules, a meeting room, a boil house, and a fire pump room to the property.
Construction on the expansive remodel is scheduled to begin in the spring on May 1, 2027, with an estimated year-long timeline targeting completion by June 12, 2028.
