What an incredible year for Emily’s Closet! A heartfelt thank you to our setup crew, sales team, and cleanup crew for giving their time and energy to make this event such a success. To everyone who shared our event on Facebook and spread the word—your support means so much!

We are especially grateful to the many shoppers who traveled from near and far to be part of this special weekend. Seeing so many young ladies and women leave with a dress they love—and witnessing their smiles and confidence as they tried them on—is exactly why we do this. Thank you for being part of the kindness. Let’s keep that ripple effect going!

This is our once a year sale in honor of Emily for you to find a new or gently used dress for Prom, a formal event, a wedding, Homecoming or even a night you just want to get all dressed up and head out for a fun night! All money raised goes towards the Emily C Lyons Scholarship. To find a dress for $5-50…you can’t go wrong! Emily‘s Closet is more than a prom dress resale event….it’s a celebration of love, generosity, and the beautiful ripple effect of kindness. Held in honor of Emily C. Lyons, this special event gives formal dresses a second chance to shine while helping young women feel confident and celebrated on their big night. Each gown tells a story, and with every dress passed along, Emily’s spirit of compassion lives on… proving that one act of kindness can create waves that reach far beyond at the moment.
What began as a simple prom dress resale event has grown into a beloved annual three day sale featuring a wide variety of formal wear. From prom and homecoming dresses, to bridesmaid dresses, special occasion dresses and more. Each year the event continues to expand, bringing the community and beyond together to share in something meaningful while helping dresses and kindness find new life.

Emily’s Closet sale is 10 days away!! Don’t go spend hundreds when you can find a new or gently used dress for $5-50. Sale is located at Mittera Wisconsin, 555 Beichl Ave in Beaver Dam. Our 11th annual sale is bursting with dresses…a record number of dresses for you to choose from!!

Just over 2 weeks til Emily’s Closet opens up for our once a year sale! Our racks are completely full and we probably need more to accurate the inventory we have. Our biggest donation of brand new dresses has come in this year and an unbelievable amount of gently used as well. Prom is 2 month away, and if you aren’t looking for a Prom dress, but maybe want to shop early for Homecoming, or to our amazing ladies beyond high school, we have dresses for you as well. Black tie, wedding guest, formal…you name it we probably have it.

4 weeks until Emily’s Closet! Mark your calendars for February 26-28 for our annual sale! We have a record number of donations and also a record number of brand new dresses donated as well!! Thank you all for your amazing donations to pass your beautiful dress onto someone else! Whether it’s prom, homecoming, black tie, formal, or wedding guest dress you are looking for…we have it!! All money raised goes towards the Emily C Lyons Scholarship. Let’s make this a record year of sales!!

With Homecoming season in full swing, don’t forget about donating those lightly used dresses to Emily’s Closet! We take donations all year long with a drop off site at Pine Hill Insurance at 919 DeClark Street or message us and we can arrange pick up or a separate drop off. Dresses, jewelry, shoes…we are happy to take it all so come early spring we have more options for our eager shoppers looking for that perfect dress, accessory or pair of shoes.

Emily’s Closet 2025 was another successful year!! Numerous women of all ages came to support us and ended up walking away with a beautiful dress. We have said it before but we will say it over and over again…thank you!! Thank you for coming to shop with us, thank you for donating your gently used dress, thank you for sharing our posts, thank you for talking about us with others and spreading the word, and thank you for helping make Emily’s ripple effect of love and kindness continue. 💚 We truly couldn’t do this without all of you!!
