Also a quick “merci” to Paris for always keeping us on our toes in the search for the unique and hard to find vintage collectibles. We dug in a bitterly cold, freezing rain with wet socks, but Paris revealed some truly special pieces that we can’t wait to show you. From a selection of amazing vintage ashtrays, to a 1970s Cartier Tank desk clock, to a hand painted art deco cocktail shaker from the 1920s, Paris and her vintage treasures did not disappoint. New on the Rivay Dispatch: John Gallagher of shot by featuring denim by Blackthorn and Rivay’s Delaney Waxed Cotton Jacket, Highlands Shetland Sweater, Harris Tweed CPO Jacket and Ford Double Knit Henley.

He’s the menswear industry’s top fit model and the founder of new denim brand, Blackthorn Denim. John () has fit for Rivay from the start and we’ve become great friends along the way. This guy knows how a garment should fit and he’s taken his decades of expertise and put it into the best fitting pair of raw selvedge jeans I’ve ever put on. Not to mention, the most comfortable (which may be counterintuitive with raw denim, but trust me, these are comfy from the first wear).

But Blackthorn didn’t stop there. This denim is truly - from farm to yarn - Made in America. The cotton is grown in Louisiana and then woven in Louisiana on vintage Draper X3 looms (those same looms that sat in the late & iconic White Oak Mill in Greensboro, North Carolina - for all you denim heads out there). The denim is rope dyed in genuine indigo and then cut and sewn in Los Angeles. Now that’s Made in the US of A!
