We are very grateful for the opportunity to exhibit at the Industrial H**p International (IHI) Conference & Tradeshow in Denver.

Thank you to 1937 International Corp. for extending the invitation for Commonwealth Denim and our mill partner, Tuscarora Mills, to share exhibit space alongside 1937 International Corp. and Toasty H**p Co.

Joseph B. Carringer (Chief Strategy Officer, Commonwealth Denim; Lead Strategist, Canna Markets Group) will be joining the panel discussion, “Building H**p Businesses That Last,” alongside:

Ryan Joseph Zaczynski (CEO, 1937 International Corp.)
Amna Shamim (Consultant, The Cannabis Community)
Adolfo Mandato (AM&MOI Sustainable Textile)

We look forward to connecting with others across the industry and contributing to the conversation around building durable, market-driven h**p businesses.

A special thank you to Morris Beegle and RootSource Media for bringing this event together.

Come see what branded h**p textile apparel can be.

For us, this is not just fabric sourcing. This is a direct relationship with the mill, the looms, and the people making the cloth.

On these vintage Draper X2 shuttle looms, Tuscarora Mills is weaving the fabric that forms the foundation of Commonwealth Denim apparel. That connection matters. It is how we maintain visibility into the process, material integrity, and the character of the fabric itself.

We are proud to work with a mill that still understands how to make selvedge denim with intention, discipline, and respect for the craft.

This is how our fabric is made.

Commonwealth Denim is a family-run company built with a generational horizon.

We make decisions with the expectation
that our company, our relationships, and our standards should endure beyond a single product cycle or a single leadership moment.

We value continuity.
We value knowledge transfer.
We value accountability across time.

That perspective allows us to build systems and garments meant to be inherited, improved, and carried forward rather than replaced.

This isn’t seasonal thinking.
It’s generational perspective.

Why most “h**p denim” isn’t really h**p denim

Most “h**p denim” on the market starts with h**p—but doesn’t end with h**p performance.

Why?

Because the fiber is cottonized, chopped down, and forced through cotton spinning infrastructure.

At that point, the textile may be h**p-derived, but the original fibre structure is gone.

If it’s processed like cotton, it will behave like cotton—regardless of the plant it came from.

That’s the reality most brands don’t explain.

Long Fibre H**p vs. Cottonized H**p
What is the Difference?

Not all h**p yarn is created equally. Most people don’t realize there are two fundamentally different processing systems used in h**p textile manufacturing.

One preserves the long fibre structure.
The other shortens the fibre to run through cotton spinning systems.

That upstream decision determines structural integrity, and the most widely used system prioritizes compatibility over fibre preservation.

Performance starts at the fibre level.

Swipe to see why this distinction matters more than the word “h**p” alone.

Commonwealth Denim is led by a retired military officer. The standards of discipline, accountability, and long-term thinking learned in service now shape how we approach manufacturing.

We restore textile skill.
We choose long-fiber h**p to preserve the fiber’s natural strength and integrity.
We build garments meant to wear in — not wear out.
And we commit to domestic manufacturing as a long-term investment in textile capability.

Here, service isn’t symbolic.
It’s discipline applied to craft.

On the Draper.
This is what long-line wet spun h**p fiber looks like when you don’t ruin it for convenience.

Our h**p fabric is how h**p has been worn for thousands of years. Our fabric preserves the integrity of the plant and this translates into a pair of jeans that performs beyond typical recognition.

Most modern “h**p” textiles rely on cottonization. A mechanically and chemical shortening of the h**p fiber to force it through existing cotton systems. It scales. It blends easily. It trys to fit a square peg in a round hole and most of all it destroys performance.

We chose 100% H**p as a fabric performance decision.
We didn’t avoid cotton or h**p cotton blends for optics.
We avoided it for better performance.

Long-line, wet-spun h**p retains fiber length, tensile strength, abrasion resistance, and structural continuity that short fiber systems can’t replicate. That durability is decided before the loom ever turns.

Short fiber makes fabric easier.
Long fiber makes fabric stronger.

Vintage looms, making 100% h**p selvedge fabric, make the best denim.
