We are proud to be the sponsor of Bleak Week: Cinema of Despair at the Pickford Film Center. From June 5th - 11th, seven powerful films reflecting real human stories will be shown, with multiple showings per film.

One of the featured films, Wendy and Lucy, is a heartfelt story about an unhoused woman, and her dog, Lucy.

Sunday, June 7, 2026
Showtimes: 1:30pm and 4:00pm

In honor of the film, we are excited to partner with Love2Hope and are collecting donations to support our unhoused neighbors and their pets. Donations can be dropped off 11am-7pm at the store (200 W Holly St.), or bring them to the Pickford Film Center on June 7th and meet the Love2Hope team in person before you see the film. Love2Hope will have a table at Pickford Film Center on June 7, from 12:30–1:30 PM and again from 3:00–4:00 PM.

Needed items include:
1) Pet food: Dog food, wet and dry, cat food, wet and dry
2) Pet supplies: cat litter, leashes, harnesses, collars, rain jackets
3) Human Supplies: blankets, hygiene items, socks, water bottles, backpacks, rain gear, and tarps.
