Big news! My new leather riding gloves have finally dropped! This has been another year long project which I’m not complaining about at all. It’s worth it to get the perfect leather and the perfect hardware!

I designed them to be riding gloves, for horse or moto. They feature reinforcements on the side of the index finger and palm. They’re unlined for summer riding and deerskin is naturally strong, stretchy, and breathable. With some conditioning and care these gloves can last a lifetime.

I made this vest to be my show piece all summer. I loved getting to theme a vest after this beautiful little book called “Between Cattails” by and Terry Tempest Williams.

It includes upgraded pockets, coyote fur from my grandpa in North Dakota, a cut out design inspired by the book, and Smith Rock Pendleton® wool. It’s a size mens medium: 40” chest, 24” length.

✨New design! ✨the Howl Chore Coat!✨
It’s so great to finally see this project come together, it’s been years in the making. Thanks to my team in LA it’s finally real! Based on the traditional French chore coat this is an easy overcoat for working in the yard or a quick trip to the store. The Howl version includes thoughtfully shaped and positioned pockets and brings together a few other artists for the in-house finish work. 💙

Everytime I look at the Mazama grey wool shirt I think it would be the perfect uniform for a rock hound. Its still grey outside but that doesn’t mean you can enjoy it, this shirt belongs in the canyons and on the river 💙✨🪨

Check it out! You can now find Howl Goods in downtown Bend at ! I’m so excited to finally be in a place that can accommodate other shops, not just my own! One of my big goals for this year was to connect with other retailers that share some of the same ideals of consumer consciousness. Thank you for marking it possible! ✨I’m Hiring!✨ I’m on the search for an assistant! I would love to find someone who’s interested in assisting with cutting and sewing projects, shop upkeep, making sales, face-to-face customer interactions (ie chatting with customers), relaying information about shop wares, answering questions about the studio (), and adding to the lovely energy of the space.
 The shop is located in a 100 year old “Iron works” building, my studio is attached to the shop as well as an art studio that holds over 50 local artists. The vibe is bight and full of creative energy.

Ok I’m gonna hit you all with a bit of honesty here. I know I have been mostly inactive on Instagram for the past month and it’s because I’ve been too busy to breathe.

I work in a 100 year old mill building that has my shop in the front and 16 art studios with community work space in the back. About a month ago I was basically given the choice to either take over the whole building or loose my shop and workspace as well as spaces for all the other artists. I decided I had to try to run the whole space. It is deeply important to me that art spaces continue to be available for artists. I would never be doing what I’m doing if it wasn’t for being convinced to join a community and studio space 10 years ago. I made friendships there that have continued to be the strongest in my life. And I was given the opportunity to learn my craft without judgement only encouragement. So for the past two weeks I’ve been trying to scrounge together a studio for these artists and fill spaces with the no money I have (it’s mostly set up for ceramics so I need to find equipment and pottery wheels for teaching classes, but it’s open to all mediums too). Unfortunately my dear friend who moved out, who set up and ran all the studios, took everything out and also left on sour terms. That’s been really hard for me to understand and take. I feel totally heart broken that he doesn’t want to be friends anymore. I considered him like a big brother. These past few weeks have been the most stressful time in my life. My body has shown stress responses I didn’t even know were a thing (like all of my finger tips peeling?).
Luckily all the artists remaining in the studio have been incredible, they’ve been supportive and understanding and excited for the future. We all see the potential in this space. I want to create a space that is comfortable for everyone to be in, where people want to be. Where we can have events and workshops and gatherings. I want to create a space people are inspired by. And everyone wants community. Continued in comments....

New tank tops in the shop! I just printed these with sparkly gold ink in the studio yesterday! I’m so happy with how they turned out!! Thanks to .design for the design help and for your screen burning expertise ✌🏽

Hey! I’m having a little pop up “post brunch” show at the shop next weekend! Bart Budwig is coming to town to open for another lovely folk musician, I can’t tell you who it is though, it’s a secret. Come hang out on the patio on Sunday afternoon to find out and have a mimosa or maybe a mint julep? 🍹🍃🌻
